SIKA variable area flow meters are ideal for use in application of water treatment and monitoring cooling circuits. It is used for determination of volume flow of liquids or gases in pipelines . Designed like a conical measuring tube with a float inside that adapts to the measuring principle of the body being vertically deflected through the flowing medium. The float is exposed to various forces like the buoyant force, the flow resistance and the weight force of the body. So the volume flow rises to lift the float indicating the current flow with the integrated water scale. A water scale of l/h and a % is standard for these flow meters with availability of optional air scales for various operating pressures. To facilitate monitoring of the rate of flow it is equipped with two adjustable reference value indicators. Limit contacts are available as accessories
