Coatema´s range of calenders comprises small lab systems as well as big production calenders, from a working width of 100 mm up to 2.000 mm and linear loads of 6 tons (pneumatic) up to peak values of 80 tons (hydraulic).

The calenders can be integrated into existing plants as single systems. There is also the possibility of sheet-to-sheet feedings as well as entire calendering lines with winding-off and winding-on units and web cleaning systems.

Coatema´s calenders are characterized by a high surface quality regarding the surface roughness and running precision. For special applications, also special surfaces can be used. The gap adjustment is electric driven or manually operated in µ accuracy. Moreover, they show a low deflection, even under high pressures, and an extremely accurate gap adjustment.
The rollers can be heated by thermal oil or electrical. The chromed rollers can be heated up to a temperature of 230° C and the rubberized rollers can be heated up to a temperature of 130° C . The temperature accuracy of the rollers is +/- 1°C.

The application area of the Coatema calanders ranges from batteries to textile applicactions and prepreg materials.

For high-tech areas like printed or organic electronics, Coatema also offers special varieties of calanders that are used for the nanostructured embossing of surfaces, the so-called Hot Embossing or Nano Imprinting.

Of course it is also possible to use vision systems for the surface control as well as thickness measurement gauges or systems for the measurement of the coating weight per unit.

Coatema offers its calenders for your already existing plant as well as part of its plant conceptions or as single unit.
