The TD962 is a type of high temperature furnace. The outer case of the furnace is made of a stainless steel with a polished finish. To avoid the cracking of the insulation, and in allowing extensometers to be mounted directly on the furnace, the device has a rigid design. The furnace consists of a control system based on Eurotherm 2408 digital temperature controller. The device also has a 4-segment programmability, a K thermocouple and connecting cables. These components are placed in a 19" desktop console.

A heating tiles and control capability is provided by the furnace. These allow the device to have a more comprehensive thermal uniformity.
