The Self-Centering Dial Bore Gages 844 K are designed to measure the diameter, roundness and conicity of bores. Each gage in the 844 K covers a large range which can be easily adjusted to any type of measuring application. The measuring probe's spring-loaded halves are split with an expanding pin through a precision-lapped taper. The movements from this are transferred to the indicating instrument. Also, due to the built-in spring, the 844 K has a constant measuring force, removing possible user influence on the input.

The 844K Gages are constructed with hard chrome plating for optimal wear-resistance. Models with carbide tips are also available if requested.
