The ebm-papst VarioDrive C is a new mains-powered EC drive unit that is an excellent alternative to IEC standard motors that utilize frequency inverters. This is a controllable synchronous motor that is extremely suitable for use with applications featuring a quadratic torque, and buyers can choose from three sizes of M3G 084, 112 and 150.

All three sizes utilize a compact and enclosed design complete with integrated electronics, and the devices possess a power range of between 500 and 3000W, in addition to a variable closed loop speed control that permits torques of between 1.0 and 20.0 Nm. The VarioDrive C comes with IP 55 type protection plus insulation class F, which is coupled with the durable and robust design providing the device with a very long lifespan.
