For copper Ethernet connections, use high-quality shielded twisted-pair (STP) Category 5e Ethernet cables from SEL.
Key Features include:
Complete shield coverage provided by the metal enclosure of the RJ-45 connectors plus the cable shield.
Apply standard Ethernet STP cables terminated with shielded RJ-45 connectors (SEL-C627) for typical 10/100BASE-T Ethernet connections. For industrial applications, choose the SEL-C627R for enhanced protection against EMI/RFI with a double shielded cable that is oil resistant, UV rated, and has lower temperature flexibility.
Use an Ethernet crossover cable (SEL-C628) terminated with shielded RJ-45 connectors for direct 10/100BASE-T Ethernet link without an intervening switch.
Each cable built and tested by SEL.
Between cabinets or in electrically noisy environments, use fiber-optic Ethernet links and SEL-C808 Multimode 62.5 ?m Core Fiber-Optic Cables.
