Flame photometry detector / for gas chromatography

The Flame Photometric Detector from Buck Scientific is equipped with a bandpass filter for sulfur or phosphorus detection. It can identify sulfur compounds down to about 200 ppb, and phosphorus compounds to 10 ppb. The phosphorus response is linear, while the sulfur response is exponential. This detector can be used with the FPD/FID or Dual FPD/FID, for synchronous hydrocarbon speciation. The FPD is similar in design to the FID, except that the detector body is light-tight, and a second flow of hydrogen purges the optical path between the photomultiplier tube (PMT) and the hydrogen-rich flame.
