KPS2204 is a programmable serial server and is meant to be used with serial devices for network applications. The device uses both Ethernet and Serial Data Communication channels. It also offers transition between serial and Ethernet protocol. The device is suitable for use in rugged industrial applications. It features a fanless design and has a surface that is a single rib heat dissipating one. In the event of excess or less voltage, it can provide protection with EMC protection properties.

The unit features dual power inputs which increase the reliability of the product. KPS2204 comes with an ARM based platform. It also comes with a serial device server. The device supports 2 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports and 4 DB9 serial ports including RS232, RS422 or RS485. It also supports various management software protocols such as TELNET, WEB and SNMP.
