Delphi?s Direct Injection Compressed Natural Gas (DI-CNG) Injector is another technology in the company?s portfolio of advanced direct injection fuel injection systems. The injector was specifically developed to help engine manufacturers harness the potential of compressed natural gas (CNG) for significant greenhouse gas emissions reduction. Its tailored design enables efficient engine operation with CNG, which requires high fuel volumes and flow velocities.

Delphi?s DI-CNG Injector also enables lower particulate emissions than conventional gasoline and Diesel engines. And, the technology will also offer manufacturers similar performance and torque characteristics of gasoline direct injection, especially low-end torque for faster acceleration than conventional systems.
