The M.D.T. (Modular Diagnostic Tool) is an innovative and modular system for an easy creation of complex diagnostic applications for the automotive area via "DRAG&DROP" of the indicators. The innovative technologies appearing in the M.D.T. enable and guarantee a fast visualisation of vehicle parameters. The direct access to a pool of prepared ECU data can happen without detailed knowledge of CAN (bus) topology and the ECU.

Built on easy accessible information and a basic application configured during the development, a structured diagnostic application can be created with the authoring tool. The M.D.T. provides "Expert Diagnostic" showing the vehicle parameters as well as a "predefined diagnostic" leading the user purposeful to the error source by using error trees. Experiences of service technicians can be integrated directly into the diagnostic application with graphical programming which is similar to error trees or flow charts. So the error analysis and debugging of problems is accelerated significantly.
