The RLS Radar Level Sensor is a radar sensor for non-contact water level measurements at surface waters. The sensor uses impulse-radar technology to determine the water level of all kinds of water bodies, from rivers to canals, lakes and reservoirs.

The RLS with its solid, relatively light and water-proof housing is mounted above the water surface e.g. at bridges or auxilliary constructions. In contrast to convential pressure sensors, which require solidly mounted piping/tubing around the sensor to protect it against floating objects the RLS simply screws onto an existing solid structure (bridge) or a simple mounting arm.

The RLS covers a measurement range of up to 35m (115ft). The special flat antenna design and its low energy consumption make the OTT RLS an economical, practical and reliable alternative to conventional level gauges.
