The Seco Mutli Directional Turning (MDT) system features inserts and holders ideal for external radial, external axial and internal machining. The Seco MDT is suitable to complete a range of operations including turning, profiling, grooving and parting-off and the device utilizes the Secoloc insert clamping method. This is a top clamp and serrated contact surface combination that increase stability and reliability.

The Seco MDT features increased cutting data, excellent surface finish, a notable reduction in vibration output and good repeatability of (+/-0,03). This highly-efficient system permits replacing multiple tools with one Seco MDT tool, which can increase a business economic value through a reduction of stock and far less tool changes during operations.
