Combining the functions of a machining center and vertical lathe, this VTM Series three-axis vertical turning center is made by Okuma. Turning and milling operations are easily provided by the platform due to the 50-taper, 36-tool magazines that come standard on the VTM product line. For excellent low volume parts productions, such as heavy milling work and making valve bodies, these machines are perfect.

Precise machining is provided by the high rigidity and the angular slideways on each axis. At any speed, the vertical axis counterbalance provides a stable feed. Thermal influence changes are reduced due to the presence of a headstock which has been affixed to the machine's base.
