The a71 is a high-volume cast iron and light alloy component production unit and features Makino's spindle integration complete with a drive motor's rotor. This assists in reducing vibration output during high-speed operations whilst increasing acceleration or deceleration. The a71 can achieve top-speed spindle acceleration in just 2.4 seconds, in effect greatly reducing non-cut time and the center trough instantly removes large volumes of chips for continually reliability and productivity.

Buyers can also choose an optional five-axis rotary table which is extremely suitable for manufacturing applications needing maximum throughput. This is a highly versatile device that can be currently adapted to all Makino a1-series machines, and it can benefit any size operation in terms of machining processes.
