The DNDS Kompakt motion control device has IN1 and IN2 inputs to detect the drive movement through proximity switches and requires 2 PNP switches. The drive movement can also be detected by an encoder/resolver of the drive measurement system. The SH input is utilized to select the tool setting function mode if the protection cover is open. The R1 input can be used to select the semi automatic function mode as long as the protection cover is open.

Inputs D1 to D4 can adjust the speed of the automatic function mode while inputs F1 to F4 reduce the adjusted speed of the automatic mode (100 to 25%) and are used to switch over between automatic mode and standstill. The redundant STOP outputs of 13-14 and 23-24 interlock the protection cover safe and the redundant SPEED outputs 33-34 and 43-44 are for emergency stop-safe.
