The 4-sided S 40-4 system profiles proves an ideal choice for building 3D setups with emphasis on high dimensional stability. Their blend of stiffness in torsion and bending enables to build cantilever constructions. S 40-4 system profiles feature four dovetail guides making them fully compatible with those of the S 40 LL system rails. The full range of SYS 40 equipment designed for the S 40 LL rails can thus be mounted on the S 40-4 system profiles as well.

The four guide rails of a profile are so arranged that they allow positioning of the four slides around the profile, independently of each other and without interference. They offer compatibility with system rails S 40 LL making them ideal for building 3D setups. They are made of deformation-resistant aluminium and reflection-poor, black anodized material. The profiles also come with optional size lengths, other anodized colors and with tape scale
