Offering consistent accuracy and exceptional dynamics, the RCC linear modules from SCHUNK are part of the LCx series. These modules are the first standardized linear motor axes in the world made of RCC (reinforced carbon composite).

Weighing 58% less than similar models constructed of aluminum, RCC units can be moved and accelerated very quickly. An interior structure specially designed and filled allows for the axes to be both durable and lightweight. Since these feature a high amount of elasticity, they are better in terms of torsional stiffness and bending than those with aluminum profiles.

The material is capable of retaining its shape when heated during operation. Additional advantages of the lightweight modules in this series include proven high-speed, energy-efficiency and a servo-electric motor drive with linear technology.
