This unit is designed to command a switch with a shunt trip opening coil (BA) through use a series of connected safety buttons. When the device is connected with VC present but no Vaux, all relays are de-energized, the BA cannot receive energy and the RA (Alarm Relay) will stay in alarm status. When Vaux is supplied, the LED ON light turns on, the alarm relay becomes energized and the device works normally.

After 80ms the Trip Relay (RT) becomec energized, and following another 80ms, the Safety Relay (RS) becomes energized and the LED Ready turns on. Once this occurs, the device is ready to receive commands from the trip from normally closed safety buttons (NC).
