FLEXICON?S Recirculating Spreader-Feeder uses a longitudinal discharge hopper with a wire conveyor belt which passes immediately above the unit's lower collection hopper to distribute powder and bulk coatings onto food products. Material is fed into the intake adapter of a side-mounted flexible screw conveyor by a centerless auger fitted along the bottom of the longitudinal collection hopper thus moving the material at a 75 degree incline into a horizontally-oriented The upper discharged hopper powders a uniform coating on the items positioned on the fully mobile conveyor positioned above a longitudinal discharge hopper. The horizontal conveyor automatically starts and stops to maintain a preset fill level in the hopper and is equipped with multiple discharge ports to apportion material across the length of the discharge hopper. An adjustable screen that spans a gap along the hopper bottom promotes uniform discharge by a small-diameter rotating agitator along the bottom of the hopper.
