The OilShield limestone feeder from Plymovent is developed for oily welding applications and processes where components are covered with punching oils or rust-prevention. The OilShield unit feeds the limestone and transports it into the main ductwork.

Oily welding fumes pose a potential fire risk and can reduce the lifespan of filter cartridges by clogging them, which may lead to high maintenance and replacement costs. The OilShield reduces the risk of fire not only inside the filtration system but also in the debris within the dustbin. The main characteristic of limestone is that it is inexpensive and decreases the combustibility of oil, thereby reducing the risk of fire.
