The CTV 160 vertical lathes are capable of handing work pieces with heights ranging from 5 mm to 210 mm, and diameters of 160 mm / 220 mm. The model's X, Y, Z and C axes are located on the spindle side, allowing for a long Y-axis range of up to ± 90 mm, and a Z axis with a large stroke rate. The lathes are equipped with up to 48 pockets, with simplified height adjustment for various work piece lengths and automatic centering.

The lathe uses a DMG ERGOline® control system with a 19 in screen, designed for intuitive and efficient 3D programming.
