The latest ADDI-DATA advanced I/O board Apcie-1564 for the PCI Express bus has 64 inputs/ outputs, 24 V, for the modern I/O control. To keep away from indistinct states the 32 output stay on "state 0" while the PC is booted. A status register with read-out capacity permits to distinguish short circuits or overvoltage.
