MF and UF are typically similar filtration processes, where the difference of the two is between the size of molecule. Typical MF membrane pore sizes range from 10 to 0,1 µm, while UF membrane pore size ranges from 0,1µm to 0,001µm. IMT provides MF membranes that gives an absolute barrier to the passage of solids from the carrier fluid and therefore are capable of removing metals, bacteria, and other contaminants.

Typical applications for IMT?s MF membranes include pre-treatment RO, reclaim of water out of waste water, industry (process) water out of surface, or groundwater, and non water applications like wine and beer clarification. Its housing is made from PVC, while its endcap is made of GFR-Polyamide. Furthermore, it has a membrane surface of 35 m² and pore size of 0,2 ?.
