SITRANS LVS100 is a vibrating point level switch for bulk solids extensively used to detect high, low or demand levels of dry bulk solids in bins, silos or hoppers. The compact designed switch can be top, side, or angle mounted. The vibrating fork design ensures that the tines are kept clean. The switch features a uniquely designed fork and crystal assembly which significantly eliminates false high level readings even if tines become damaged.

A signal from the electronic circuit excites a crystal in the probe that causes the fork to vibrate. In cases where the fork contains a covered material, the electronic circuitry detects the change in vibration which causes the relay to change state after a one second delay. Full vibration is resumed when the fork is free from material pressure causing the relay to revert to its normal condition.
