Multi-Circle Diffractometer
Design study for a high-precision multi-circle diffractometer, model NZD-3 was done according to requirements of PETRAIII.
The device consists of sample adjustment stages, sample goniometer assembly, detector goniometer assembly and base structure.
The design of the diffractometer uses Kohzu heavy-duty goniometric modules of Max-G, Max-CHI and Max-PHI series.
Sample adjustment stages, supporting structure and connecting components (mounts, arms, tables etc.) are customized for this particular application.
Diffractometer is designed and manufactured with so high precision that it keeps enough performance even in focusing mode of the beamline.
The SOC (Main 6 axes) was measured for less than 20 ?m!
