The BOX series features a distinct design and is made using advanced parametric CAD SW, assisted by programs designed to calculate thermal dissipation capacity as well as structural resistance/deformation, when exposed to working loads. The housing is made out of aluminum and available in sizes 25 to 90, with case hardened steel and ground machined wormshaft (with 2 taper roller bearings for size 63 and up), while the worm wheel is manufactured out of shell cast bronze. The wheel is subjected to a running-in working period, designed to improve surface finishing and hardness, before the actual assembly. Due to the aforementioned features and double nilos, the entire BOX range of products from size 25 to size 110 can be easily mounted in V5 and V6 positions, eliminating the need for added intervention. Additionally, the gear unit also features a full set of filler, level and breather plugs.
